Now-a-days, there are several hotels that one can find in every city. The hotel business has become quite common today and people open a hotel whether small or big in cities to earn profit and accommodate visitors. A hotel can be found in every corner of the street in every city. But not every hotel has the ambience and facilities to leave a mark on the visitors. There are only a few hotels which are termed as memorable and historical. It is because of their services and exceptional experience which they offer to their customers that they are so termed. The Brazilian Court Hotel and Beach Club situated in Palm Beach in Florida in United States is a historical luxury hotel. It was opened on the New Year's Day in 1926. This Brazilian Court Hotel is located at 301 Australian Avenue and is the most historic hotel of America. It is also one of the leading small hotels of the world.
The Brazilian Court Hotel and Beach Club has been ranked among the best hotels many a times. Recently in 2009, the Brazilian Court Hotel was ranked by Travel and Leisure as the seventh best small city hotel in the United States and Canada. The Brazilian Court Hotel was earlier built on the formal style which was recently renovated into more of cosmopolitan style. The history of the Brazilian Court Hotel goes like there were two investors from the New York City by the names of Joseph D'Esterre and Stanley Paschal. Both the investors assembled the site of the Brazilian Court which was at that time occupied by bungalows. Together with Rosario Candela, Paschal worked on the design of the Brazilian Court Hotel. The two had worked together previously on an apartment house project in New York. The design of the hotel was chosen by Candela to be Mediterranean with tinted and classical details and a tiled roof. He developed the hotel's courtyard in a very simple manner which emphasized on the inner face of the hotel. The hotel was organized as an apartment hotel which also had small kitchens.
The hotel was later on purchased by the Obadon Hotels which recently got the renovation of the hotel done from its formal setting to a more cosmopolitan style. Even the kitchenettes were removed and a restaurant was opened by the name of Café Boulud named after the James Beard Award nominee, Chef Daniel Boulud. |
